How do I navigate USGenWeb?
Visit our Project home page and select a state from the dropdown list. Once on the state website you will find a list of links to the county sites. I some cases you may find state-widre resources on the state website.
Why do all the pages look different?
Each website is unique and contains types and voluimes of information. We encourage our volunteers to be creative and design thier sites to best suit the structure and the volunteer’s skill level.
How do I join USGenWeb?
Contact the State Coordinator if you would like to volunteer to adopt a county or provide content and resources. The State Coordinator’s email is found on t he State’s website.
Are there membership dues?
No, USGenWeb volunteers do not pay dues, but we do encourage our members to dontate what they can to help cover our hosting costs.
Are there requirements for websites?
Yes, the Project has a few minimal requirements for all websites. See the Project’s Site Requirements for details. Each state may also have a few additional requirements for their member sites. Check with the State Coordinator for additional requirements.
